 JOB TITLE:  Practice Manager

JOB TYPE: Part-time, Permanent (hours flexible)

LOCATION: Dawbuts Pty Ltd (9 Mitchell Street, Camden NSW 2570)



The Practice Manager provides essential and overall support to the company, working with the Managing Director and other team members. You will be responsible for overseeing the incoming and outgoing accounts, invoicing, book-keeping, ordering, inventory control and assistance with HR matters.  You will also be responsible for supporting laboratory activities and various research projects including animal ethics administration.


  • Invoicing for laboratory, consultancy, training and research services
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining inventory
  • Book-keeping using cloud-based software (MYOB)
  • Secretarial work including appointments, travel arrangements, meetings


  • Manage the laboratory test kit logistics
  • Conduct and manage all invoicing (through MYOB) for the laboratory


  • Assist with logistics, planning and arrangements for other employees
  • Assist with the development, planning, delivery and reporting of all contract research projects and training programs


  • Manage the diary and appointments
  • Assist with logistics, planning and arrangements for all employees
  • Assist with overall customer service of all clients
  • Assist with conducting and managing the marketing activities of Dawbuts (online presence – Facebook, Newsletters, Instagram and Webpage; other forms)
  • Undertake training as appropriate to the job



  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, book-keeping, practice management or similar
  • Thorough familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently
  • Ability to be flexible in the developing role as part of a small business
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the veterinary and animal health industry an advantage
