Price List

Dawbuts price list is GST inclusive and up to date as of 1st July, 2020.

Standard Tests: Modified McMaster

Dawbuts’ standard tests are conducted with modified McMaster slides that give an accuracy reading to 50epg. In other words, every egg seen under the microscope is worth 50 eggs per gram of feces.

  • Individual Worm Egg Test (15 animals) — $90
  • Individual Worm Egg Test (15 animals) plus Larval Differentiation — $130
  • Equine Individual Egg Test (up to 15 animals) — $40 (1st), then $15 thereafter.
  • Pooled Worm Egg Test (3 bulk counts from 15 samples) — $55
  • Pooled Worm Egg Test (3 bulk counts from 15 samples) plus Larval Differential — $95
Sensitive Tests: Mini-FLOTAC

Dawbuts’ sensitive tests are conducted with a new test method known as Mini-FLOTAC. This can give a highly accurate reading as low as 5epg. Consequently, a test using a mini-FLOTAC can give you fecal egg count results in samples that the McMaster test may miss. The drawback to having better egg detection is that the tests cost more, due to the extra effort required to set up and conduct mini-FLOTACs.

  • Individual Worm Egg Count (15 samples, Mini-FLOTAC) — $130
  • Individual Worm Egg Count (15 samples, Mini-FLOTAC) plus Larval Differentiation — $170
  • Pooled Worm Egg Count (3 pooled counts from 15 samples, Mini-FLOTAC) — $85
  • Pooled Worm Egg Count (3 pooled counts from 15 samples, Mini-FLOTAC) plus Larval Differentiation — $125
Extra Tests

Dawbuts does a few other tests in conjunction to the standard McMaster and mini-FLOATACs.

  • Fluke Test (Sedimentation) — $80
  • Larval Culture & Differential (no WEC) — $50 (Known as our Worm ID Test)

*NOTE: If the average eggs per gram (EPG) is less than 100, we do not conduct a larval, as we may not be able to recover enough larvae to provide an accurate differentiation. The only exception to this is when conducting Drench Resistance Tests, or the “Works Burger”.

For information and prices on Drench Tests, FECRTs or ASBVs, please Contact Us as the required tests and prices may vary, depending on your specific situation.

Special Bundles

Dawbuts is excited to offer a new test bundle! Using our most sensitive testing method, mini-FLOTAC, we conduct a pooled count. This gives you a very accurate idea what’s happening in your herd. Combined in the bundle is a larval differentiation, and a fluke test. If you have old paperwork, just write a note on the submission form requesting our “Works Burger“.

“Works Burger” (3 Mini-FLOTAC pooled counts from 15 samples + Larval Differentiation + Fluke Test) — $185

*NOTE: If the average eggs per gram (EPG) is 0, we do not conduct a larval, as we will not be able to recover enough larvae to provide an differentiation.

WEC Kits

The cost of the WEC kits are included in the listed prices. The WEC collection kits themselves cost $15 upfront. When you return the WEC kits for testing, their cost will be subtracted from the list price when invoiced. You can order our WEC kits here.

FLOTACs

We provide the equipment for Australia’s most sensitive worm egg count testing method. These are the mini-FLOTACs and their loading devices, the fill-FLOTACs. All orders come with the microscope slide adapters and instruction sheets. We strongly advise the purchasing of mini and fill-FLOTACs together. This ensures the manufacturer’s recommended loading techniques are followed. Prices are GST included.

  • Mini-FLOTACs: — $27.50 each
  • Fill-FLOTACs: — $18.30 each
  • Postage & Handling for FLOTAC orders: — $50 for orders 10 items and under. (Larger orders subject to delivery quote.)

Dawbuts price list is subject to periodic change, although we do our best to keep the prices fair and constant.
